An Ordinance Fixing the Salary of the Sexton of Oak
Grove Cemetery of the city of Paducah; Ky.
Be it ordained by the Ceneral Council of' the City of
Paducah, Ky.
Section t. That the salary of the Sexton of Oak Grove

• hereby fixed at $84o per annum, to be paid to said officer in
equal monthly installments out of the treasury of the city of
Paducah, Ky.; as other salarie:i are paid, and this is to be in
full payment of his services.
Sec. a. He shall give bond in the sum of $i,000 for the

faithful performance of his duties according to law, but this
sectio[ shall not apply to the present incumbent, he having
already given bond as such ufficer.

See. 3, All ordinances and parts of ordinances, in con -
dict herewith, are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Recreating the Office of Delinquent tax
Collector and Providing Gar the Election of the Same, and
Fixing his Bond and Compen:aation.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of
Paducah, Ky.
Sec. t. That there is hereby created the office of De-

owned by or in the rightful possession of the person from
vrhom the tax is due, notwithstanding the existence of any
lien3 upon the same, and may proceed to sell for cash the
title of such persons, to so much thereof as will pay the taxes
due, and costs of sale, a'ter first advertising the sale as
Constables are required to do in sales tinder execution; the
cost of such sale shall be two dollars ($2) for the
benefit of the tax collector. He shall have the power to sue
out in any Justices Conrt in the County, an attachment on
said tax bills, and the proceedings shall be the same as at-
tachment proceedings for the collection of state taxes. He
Dally ratmrts shall make daily reports to the Auditor, of collections, giv-
ing him a duplicate receipt from the treasury for the collec-
tions, and he shall make a settlement with the Auditor when-
ever demanded.
Fees vald Sec. 2. The compensation to said delinquent tax col-
lector in addition to the fees mentioned in Sec. t of this ordi-
nance, shall be ten per cent (lo) commission on all taxes
collected by him.

faithful per'ormance of his duties, in the sum of one thous-
and do:lars, ($t,000) and this ordinance shall take effect after
its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Fixing Office Hours for the Mayor of
the City, and Defining the Amount of His Salary.
Whereas; the salary for the office of mayor is now the
same as it was some sixteen years in the past, and Whereas;
the great growth of the city hat increased the demands upon
the person who holds this office; and Whereas; the city
will at an early day ence: the second class at which time the
duties of this office will be greater than at the present time,
