said publications shall be three cents (3) for each and every
line for the first insertion, and two (2) cents per line for
each subsequent insertion, provided, however, that in mak-
ing any publication other than printing the Council reports,

each ordinance, address, proclamation, contractors' notice
etc., and at no time s•liall there be made unnecessary para-
graphs or break lines, though sub -section headlines and tab-

Sec. 2. All ordinances, and parts or ordinances, in con-
flict herewith, are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Providing for the Payment of the Salaries
of Firemen, and POlicemen, in the City of Paducah, Ken-
tucky, Semi -Monthly Instead of Monthly.
Be it ordained by the general council of the City of Pa- •
ducah, Ky.

Section 1. That, hereafter all firemen, and policemen,
and all employes under such departments in the city of Pa-

semi-monthly payments instead of monthly payments, as hat
heretofore been done, and as the law now provides.
Sec. 2. All ordinances, and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and approval

Patrol Wagon Driver Appointed Etc.
An Ordinance Authorizing the Police and Fire Commis-
sioners to Appoint Driver of Patrol Wagon, and Confer
Police Power on Him.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.
Section 1. That the Board of Police and Fire Com-

missioners of the City of Paducah are hereby authorized and dlrecWtl
empowered to appoint a driver of the patrol wagon in said
city of Paducah, and cwlfer police powers on said driver,
and be paid a salary of $co per month, payable monthly. µawry
Sec. 2. All ordinance; and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and approval.
