An Ordinance Prescribing What Matter, Pertaining to
the City's Affairs, Shall be Published, and Fixing the fees
of the Official Newspaper for Same.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.
Section 1. That there shall be printed and published, in

the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, a correct

abstract of the proceed-ings of the General Council, and all
ordinances and resolutions, financial committees reports, con-
tractors' notices, proclamations, election notices, etc., and
compensation for such publication, to the owner of said of-
ficial newspaper, shall be as follows: For the said abstract

may be due the owner of said official newspaper, for ordi
nances, Mayor's addresses, financial committees' reports,
proclamations, cgntractors notices, and all other publications
the Board may order printed one or more times, the pay for
said publications shall be three cents (3) for each and every
line for the first insertion, and two (2) cents per line for
each subsequent insertion, provided, however, that in mak-
ing any publication other than printing the Council reports,
there shall be used only brevier type, and there shall be made
not more than one display line of pica type as a caption to
each ordinance, address, proclamation, contractors' notice
etc., and at no time s•liall there be made unnecessary para-
graphs or break lines, though sub -section headlines and tab-
ular work, when needed, may be used.
Sec. 2. All ordinances, and parts or ordinances, in con-
flict herewith, are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
take effect from and after its passage and approval.
