City Engineer's Office Hours Etc.
An Ordinance Defining Office Hours for the City Engi-
neer, and Making a Regular Time for His Report of all Col-
lections from Private Individuals, With Penalty Thereun
der.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
r ' Paducah, Ky.
Section i. That the City Engineer shall have stated

office hours during which time he shall be in his office.
Sec. 2. That the hours from 10:30 o'clock a. in. until

12 o'clock noon, are hereby defined as the stated office hours

of the City Engineer.
Sec. 3. That when the City Engineer shall fail to be
Mayor's day
in his office the stated office hours as defined, it shall be the
Mayor's duty to appoint a competent person to act in his
stead, and to be paid out of the regular salary of the City .
Engineer.
Sec. 4. That it shall be the duty of the City Engineer

to make a report-at the first of each and every month to the

City Clerk under oath of all work done for private parties
clearly itemized and with same file the City Treasurer's re-
ceipts for amounts collected, and clearly set forth in such re-
port the amounts unpaid and by whom owing to the city.
Sec. 5. That the City Clerk shall n+ot draw the check

for the monthly salary of the City Engineer until ho shall
have complied with the provisions of Sec. 4. hereof with re-
gard 'to report of work done, for private parties.
Sec. 6. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are, to the -ex-
tent of such confliction, hereby repealed and this ordinance
shall take effect from, and after it's passage and approval,
