0 Chief of Police Duties.
An Ordinance Pre: cribing the Duties of the Chief of
Police of the City of Paducah.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.
l'o manime Sect:on I. The chief of police shall instruct, direct,
�ttCetore@ manage and control the entire police force of the City of
Paducah, both day and night, and see tl*at the policemen en-
force the law and ordinances of the City of Paducah and he
dRouortO ` shall promptly report any dereliction of duty on the part of
onors any policeman, either in the day or night time, to the police
and fire commissioners, and he shall further do and perform
all duties now imposed or that hereafter may be imposed

upon him by Charter or ordinance.
Sec. z. This ordinarce &hall take effect from and after
its passage and approval, and all ordinances, or parts of
ordinances in conflict with 01:3 ordinance, are hereby re-
pealed.

` Ward Boundaries.
An Ordinance Fixing the Boundary of the Wards of the
City of Paducah, Ky.
Be it ordained by the .General Council of the City of
Paducah, Ky. '
Section I. That the boundaries of the wards of the
City of Paducah be and they are hereby fixed as follows.
Sec. 2, The First Ward shall be all that part of the

Ward 'Boundaries,
City of Paducah lying north of a roint on the Ohio where !"lot Ward
the center of Trimble street if extended would intersect
the Ohio'river,. thence with the center of Trimble street to
the western boundary of the City of Paducah.
The Second Ward shall consist of that portion of the second W„ni
City of Paducah lying between the center of Trimble street
as above mentioned and a line beginning at a point on the
Ohio river where the center of Jefferson street, if extended,
would intersect the Ohio river: thence out Jefferson street
and in the Center thereof to the western boundary of the
City of Paducah..
The Third Ward shall consist of that portion of the Third ward
City of Paducah between the center of Jefferson street and
P. line in the center of Adams street begirning at a point
on Adams street, where the center line, of Adams street, if
extended, would inters.ct the Ohio river: thence out Adams .
street and with the center 1'ne thereof to the western boun-
dary of the City of Paducah.
The Fourth Ward s4iall consist of that portion of the reerth Ward
City of Paducah, lying between the center line of Adams
street -and a line in the center of. Norton street beginning
at a point on the Ohio. river where the center of Norton
street if extended, would intersect said river: thence out
Norton street from said river and -with the center line of
said street to the western boundary of the City of Paducah,
The Fifth Ward shall consist of that portion of the Fifth T uni
City of Paducah lying between the center lines of Norton
street and the center of Island Creek: and the southern line
of said ward is hereby fixed with the meanders of Island
Creek, to a point where the center line of Island Creek in-
tersects the southwestern boundary of the City of Padu-
cah.
The Sixth ward shall consist. of that portion of the sixth Ward
City of Paducah lying between the center line of Island
Creek and the southern boundary of the City of Paducah.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from the
first day of October one thousand nine hundred and three.

Extending Fire Limits.
An Ordinance Extending the Fare Limits Inside the City
of Paducah.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of. the City of
Paducah, Ky.
Additional
Section i. That the entire bloat in the. City o.` Paducah
limits
between Broadway and Jefferson streets and First and See-
ond streets in said city be placed inside the fire limit, utider
the same conditions set out in ordinance No. 23 of th-. ordi-
nances of said city.
Sec. :2. viat rdl ordivances and parts if :)rdlnauce.i in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and
this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
and approval.
