Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City 'of Paducah. Ky. Section t. That when the Mayor of the City shall be 'Duty of notified of the existence of any contagious or infectious dis- Mayor ease, such as small -pox, yellow fever etc., in the 'City,- he shall notify the Health Officer of the City. at once of its ex-. istence and location, and said Health Officer shall give notice t . to the County Judge of same. The Mayor and Health Offi- 'cer shall immediately cause such case or cases of Contag- ious disease to be removed to the Eruptive Hospital or Pest House, and without unnecessary delay, or shall quaran- tine such cases a0inst any or all other persons, except those who may have. the said cases in charge. Sec, a. That when any such case of above mentioned rna,to,v,t,,, contagious disease t shat; have been removed to the Eruptive fttutOcu'11 8 410 REVISED ORDINANCES OF PADUCAH Contagious Diseases—Fumigating. - Hospital or Pest House, it shall be the duty of the Health Officer to disinfect all exposed premises thoroughly, and the Mayor, for the City, shall furnish all necessary material for said disinfecting when called upon by the Health Officer for same. City to Day Sec. 3. That the City shall pay for necessary labor in doing the disfecting premises, but the cost of such labor shall not exceed $3.00 for any residence or premises to be disinfected, and it shall be the duty of the Mayor to employ and furnish to the Heath Officer such labor, furnished at the cost of the City. he�rnj hoped Sec, q. That when in the judgment of the Health burned Officer it becomes necessary in disinfecting premises to de- stroy bedding clothing etc., the party performing such ser- vice shall take a careful inventory of such property de- stroyed and shall file the said inventory with the Mayor, within five days thereafter. Penalty Sec. 6. That upon a failure to comply with the provis- ions of the ordinance, the party or parties so offending shall be fined not less than three doblars nor more than five dollars for each offense. Sec, y. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in %conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval. Adopted Dec, 21St,1899. J. WM.
