An Ordinance Authorizing and providing fo'r the issuai of twenty-five thousand do!lars of bonds of the City of Pa- ducah, Kentucky, for the Purpose of Erecting a City Hos- r pita) in Said City and Submitting the same to the voters of Paducah. Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. Form of Sec. r. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky shall issue bonds bonds to the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars, in de- monination of $5oo each, bonds to be payable at the end of ' thirty (30) years; said bonds to be serially numbered from I' one (t) to fifty (50) in-itisive, and shall bear the seal of the city when issued; shall be issued under the signature of the i} mayor; shall be countersigned by the city treasurer, and shall bear interest at the rate of four (4) per cent per an- 't 1merTMss num, payable semi-annually, and shall have interest coupons coutumx eWNZ attached thereto,� , signed by the mayor of the city and coon- tersigned•by the city treasurer. Said bonds shall be'made payable at + some bank, or trust company in the city of New York, and where DaYaL1e shall . be issued under the authority granted the city of Paducah, by section 157 of the Constitution of the state of Kentucky, and section 3097 of the Kentucky Statutes. Sec. 2. The bonds above . provided for shall be issued only upon the conditions hereinafter set forth. Sec. 3. The said clerk'shall cause notice of the election herein called to be given by publication of these ordinances in the official newspaper-. of the said city for two weeks con- tinuously next before the day of holding the election, and said clerk shall post a printed copy of the said ordinance in , two public places, in each of the voting precincts of the city,' of Paducah, at least ten days (to) before the date of the said election. In the event that two thirds (2-3) of all the qualified voters of the city of Paducah voting upon said pro- position shall vote for the issual of said bonds, then the city of Paducah shall issue said bonds, as provided by law, subject to, the conditions contained in this ordinance: but in case thv proposition to issue said bonds' docs not receive the votes of two thirds (2-3) of the qualified voters of said City of Pa• duenh, voting upon the anid proposition, then this ordinance shall be ndil and void, and of no effect. �J i F u i F u City Hospital Bonds. And it is hereby further ordained and agreed, for Tel lepra ps, that if the bands herein mentioned are voted. at the election of Wride herein provided, that the said City of Paducah, by its gen- eral council, shall cause to be levied a tax sufficient to pay off the interest on said bonds as the same falls due, and provide a fund sufficient to pay off said bonds when they be- come due.
