Uninclosed Privies. r Soliciting Patronage by "Pulling," An Ordinance Making the Soliciting of Patronage by the Method of what is Termed "Pulling" Unlawful, and Providing Penalties Thereunder. Be it ordained by the common council of the pity of Paducah, Sec. t. That it shall be unlawful for any merchant, rniawful clerk or other person to importune, force or "pull' any per- seta defined son or customer from the street into any place. of business for the purpose of making sale, or attempting to make sale of any wares or commodity of merchandise of any sort or kind whatever,—"That it to say that it shall be unlawful to practice what is known generally among merchants as "pull- ing' customers in the city of Paducah." Sec. 2. That any person found guilty of violating any Penalty of the provisions of section 1, hereof shall be fined in any amount not less than $10.00 nor more than $20,00 for each offense. Sec. 3. Loss of Time by Officers. ises, whether occupied by such owner of said property or not, privies without enclosing the same, either in fencing or in some other manner so as to obscure same fiom•public view. All property owners having property with privies be- ing thereon unenclosed and open to public view shall be lotteeatves notified, in writing, by the Sanitary Inspector, to make such enclosure of the same, by fencing, latticing, or other suitable means whereby such privy or privies shall be en- trallure to closed, or not be exposed to public view; and upon failure "dome to provide such enclosures, within ten (to) days time frons the service of said notice shall be subject to the penalty hereinafter provided. Sec. 2.
