Number of Men in Fire Department.
An Ordinance coticuning the number of firemen in the
fire department of the C7ty of Pa,iucah, Kentucky, and their
compensation.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the General Council of the
City of Paducah. That the number of firemen in the fire de-
partment of the City of Paducah, shall be as follows:
The fire department force sh..11 consist of one chief, two �Un,t>•r
captains and sixteen firemen or stationmeu.
Sec. a. Be it further ordaiaed by the General Council
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, that the salaries of said
members of the fire department shall be as follows:
That the salary of the chief shall be fixed by the Board
of Police and Fire Comm-ittionera s is fully prescribed and "lades
set forth in section 313% Kentucky Statutes, 1903, relating to
cities' of the second class; that the two captains in the fire
department shall each receive a salary o( nine hundred dol
Tars per year, payable semi-monthly, the same to be p:,id
out of the city treasury out of the funds set apart by the city
for the fire department.
That the firemen or stationmen shall each receive a sal-
ary of seven hundred zt,d twenty dollars per year, payahle
semi-monthly; the same to be pad out of the city treasury
out of the funds set aprrt by the city for the .fire depart-
ment.
Sec. 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in'con-
dict with this ordinance are hereby repealed absolutely.
and this ordinance shall'take eff (t from and after its pas:
-age, approval and publication.
