Sec. 3. Each day of failure to comply with any provis-
ion of this ordinance shall constitute a separate offense, and
fpr each such offense, the offender shall be fined not less
than .twenty-five dollars, nor mord than one hundred dollars..
Sec. 4. This ordinance sha!1 take effect and be in, force
from and after 6o days from its passage, approval and pub-
l:cation.

Lnuis and New Orleans Railroad Company, and the Illinois
Central Railroad Company, its lessees, to place a flagman
and a safety gate or gates at its railroad crossing on Ten-
nessee street where the Memphis division of what it known
as the Illinois Central Railroad crosses said street.
Be it ordained by the Genet --I Council, of the City of
Paducah:
Section 1. That for the protection of life and property
of the citizens of Paducrh, Kentucky, the Chicago, St. Louis
and New Orleans Railreod Company, and the Illinois Cen-
T•emewes tral Railroad Company its lessees, be and it is hereby requir-
ed and directed to immediately erect, maintain and operate at
its own expense under the supervision of the City Engineer,
a safety gate or gates at its railroad crossing on Tennessee
