New Faciories From Taxation.
Exempting New Factories From Taxation.
An Ordinance Exempting Certain Manufacturing Es-
tablishments from Municipal Taxation and Prescribing Con-
i' ditions Thereunder, '
Be it ordained by the members of the Common Council
of the City of Paducah, Ky.
Section r. That for the purpose of offering all reason- 'Pe whuin
able inducements to manufacturing establishments of every ' appl es m
character to locate within the corporate limits of the City
of Paducah, it is hereby ordained that any and all manufact-
uring establishments engaging in the manufacture of any
product or article employing as many as 20 men or more
continuously, or during such time as may be the proper
season for the running of such 'factory or factories, that
shall hereafter locate within the corporate limits of the City
of Paducah for the purpose of engaging in manufacturing,
shall be exempt from municipal taxation for the period of
five years from the dab- of the completion and starting of
the plant of, any such manufacturing estabilshment.

Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and approva:, and all ordinances and parts of or-
-dinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
