their use by the several companies as indicated in their '
posted notices, in such a manner as not to occupy a space
along side of such platforms greater than the width of the
vehicle.
Sec. z. Any person violating the provisions of the first Penaltius
section of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction in the City Court shall be fined in a
sum of not less than $3.00 nor more than $io.00 for each of-
fense.
l Sec. 3. All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed and this ordinance shall be in force from its pas-
sage and approval.

Children on Streets at Night.
An Ordinance Regulating and Preventing Children un-
der the age of Sixteen from being upon the Streets and
other Public Places after Certain Hours of the Night and
Prescribing Penalties Under Same.
Be it ordained by the Mayor and members of the Com-
mon Council of the City of Paducah.
Section i. That it shall be unlawful for any infant on -

buildings within the city limits of the City of Paducah,

of such infant, or unless such infant shall have and produce•
a written permission therefor signed by his or her parent
guardian or the person having other care, custody or con-
trol over such in`.ant given on and bearing the same date
on which any such infant may be found upon any of the -
public places hereinbefore named
Sec. z. It shall be the duty of any policeman to arrest
any infant under the age of sixteen years, who may be
found upon or in any of the public places, and after the
times prescribed in Section One of this ordinances, with
or without warrant unless the written permission required
by Section One shall be produced to such officer, or un-
less such infant shall be accompanied by one of the per-
sons named in Section One of this ordinance, while upon, in
or about such public places and any policeman ,failing to
perform his duty under this ordinance upon conviction there-
of shall be fined the sum of $5.00 for each'offense.
Sec. 3. Any person who shall be found guilty of a viola-
tion of Section One of this ordinance shall be fined not less
than $1.0o nor more Clan $400 for each and every offense.
Sec. 4. This ordinonce shall take effect from and after
its passage and approval and publication.
