SW REVISED ORDLNANCES OF PADUCAFI.
Protecting Fire Alarm Boxes. Tapping Electric Light Poles Etc.
Be it ordained by the common council of the City of
Paducah, Ky.
Vntawrut Section t. That it shall be unlawful for any person, to

in any manner disturb any fire alarm box, or Fire alarm Kev
box, or anything appurtenant thereto; unless under the ad-
vice and instruction of the Chief of the Fire department or
his Assistant Chief. Any person or persons violating the
provisions of this section; upon conviction shall be fined in
Pi,nalttes any amount not less than $25 nor more than $too for each
offense.
False alarms Sec. 2. That it shall be unlawful to knowingly turn in
a false alarm of fire, any person convicted of violating the
Penalties provisions of this section shall be fined in any sum not less
than $25.00 nor more than $too.00 for each offense. Provid-
Exceptlons ed, that the Chief of the Fire Department or the Assistant
Chief, or other persons acting for them, may turn in a false
alarm when practicing time runs, training horses or men in
the Fire Department, or in exhibiting the working of the
System.
Sec. 3. That all ordinances and parts thereof in con-
flict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby re-
pealed and this shall take effect from and after its passage
and approval.

tric Light or - Fire Alarm Poles in the City of Paducah and
Fixing the Price for using the Same.

Section i. That it shall be unlawful for any person or

by tapping or attaching wires to posts or poles owned by the
city unless they or either of them shall first comply strict-
ly with the next succeeding section thereof.
Sec, a. That such person or persons or corporation

Council Clerk the treasurers receipt'for the required amount
at the rate of fifty cents fur each pole desired to be so tap-
ped or used which sum is hereby fixed as a tax for such
privilege for one year, that said applicant at the same time
shall give to the Clerk of the Council a written statement
setting forth the num-ber of posts or poles and their exact
location, on and between what streets, if poles be number-
ed, shall give the numerical number .and receive from the
Clerk a written license to. use such poles for one year, and
not less and any person or persons or corporation who
shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
fined not less than one dollar for each offense, and every
day shall constitute a separate offense when said posts or
