Use of City Machines Eta. Street Obstruction—Amendment
leased,—back to place where same is usually kept by the
City, and -the party or firm leasing same shall be held for '
each, and every- day such machine or implement may re-
main out of the custody of the City whether in use or not.
Sec, 5. That upon the failure of the Mayor and Loos must Tm
Street Inspector to collect the rental for the cost of dam- oPoctuls
ages to any machine or implement as provided in this ordi-
nance, then it shall be the duty of the Finance Committee
of the Common Council to deduct the amount thereof from
the salary of the two named officers, in ratio to the amount'
respectively of same.
Sec. 6. That all ordinances and parts thereof, in con-
flict with the provisions of this ordinance, to the extent of

conflicting, are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take

effect from and after its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Amending Ondinance No, 41,—Of the Re
vised Ordinances of the City of Paducah . Titled "Street
Obstructions" with Penalties.
Be is ordained by the common council of the city of
Parucah, Kentucky.
Section t. That ordinance No. qt—of the revised or Ltahts must
dinance of the city of Paducah, be, and the same is hereby be placed on
obstructluut
amended as follows:—"That it shall be unlawful for any
Builder, Contractor, or other person who may place same
on the streets or have ownership or custody thereof, any
building material mortar beds, lumber, brick, ladders,
trucks, scaffolding, or any other thing which obstructs the
free and safe passage over same by pedestrians, wagons,

carriages, and' bicycles without a signal light brightly burn-
ing, indicating the exact location of any of the above; be-
tween the hours of .sun -set and sun rise.
Sec, 2. That it shail be the duty of the street inspector,
to . carefully note the location of all building material on the
streets and all other obstructions during the day time, and
to review same after sun -set and learn if the lights have
been placed' thereon in conformity with Sec. I. of this or-
dinance.
Sec. 3. That for the violation of the provisions of Sec-
tion t,—of this ordinance, the owner, or custodian of the mat
ter or obstruction requiring a light shall be fined not less
than $g.00, nor more than $to.00 for each offense.
Sec, q. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, and this
ordinance shall take effect from its passage and approval.

Oak Grove Cemetery.
t. The name of Paducah Cemetery is changed to Oak
Grove Cemetery, by which name it shall be known and de-
signated.
2. Said cemetery shall hereafter be tinder the control
and management of the cemetery committee of the common
council, subject however, to the ordinances and resolutions
of the common counciland said cemetery committee shall
perform the duties prescribed by said council in the man-
agement and superintendence of 'said cemetery.
Said cemetery committee shall select and appoint a sex-
ton or keeper of said cemetery, who shall hold his appoint
