Digging In Streets.
- An Ordinance in Regard to the Breaking, Cutting or
Digging in the Streets of Paducah.

Be it ordained by the Common Cpuncil of the City of
Paducah.
Section t. That it shall be unlawful for any person,

to place sewer 'pipes, gas pipes or water pipes without
first filing with the Council Clerk a written application
setting forth the place where the street is to be opened and
for what purpose it isto be done, and for whom done, and
the parties making the application and shall sign the same
in the presence of the Clerk who shall grant a license free

_ of cost permitting such work to be done within the space of

thirty days from the date of the license, and the party pro -
caring such license, and the party owning the property
benefited or his agent and for whom the work is done
must before the beginning of said work enter into a con-
tract with the City to place the street or side walk back in
as good condition as it was before the work was done and
that he will maintain it in that condition for on

Penalties Sec. •s. That any person violating the provisions of
this ordinance shall be fined not less than five dollars nor
more than twenty doll,.rs for each offense, and the party fora

An Ordinance for the Purpose of Prohibiting the Sale
on the Streets and Highways of the City of Paducah, of
Staple groceries by Hucksters and Pedlers, with Penalties
Thereunder.
Be it ordained by thf City Council of the City of Pa-
ducah.
Certain Section t. That it shall be unlawful for any individual

ing same or offering same for sale shall be the person or
