mental to the public, and that such occupants failed or re-
fused to vacate the same within the time,required by the
said notice, all such occupants shall be fined .not less than
$2.00 or more than $5.00 for each day such occupant shall
remain in the said building after the service of said notice.

Sec. S. Upon such report having been made as to the
dangerousness of any such building or asto it being detri
mental, to the public, the City of Paducah shall have the
right to remove or repair the same at the expense of the
property owner.
Sec. 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- .
flict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Sec. q. This ordinance shall take effect from and aftef

Protecting Granitoid Sidewalks.
An ordinance protecting cement and granitoid sidewalks
from being damaged before same may be ready to be used,
with penalties.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Paducah, Ky.: •
Unlawful to
walk on new
Section t. That it shall be unlawful for. any owner of -
sidewalks
property, merchant in front of whose place of business ce-
ment or granitoid sidewalks have been constructed, or any

other person, to walk or trespass upon such improved walks
until same have been compbeted twenty-four hours.

'Sec. 2. That it shll be unlawful for any property own-,

sidewalk any barrels, boxes or crates of merchandise, or
other thing which will in any way damage such walks until
same have been completed fifteen days. Provided, how-
ever, it shall be lawfu! to handle any reasonably safe 'com-
modity over same if the sidewalks are amplry protected
by a cover of smooth planks during said time.
Sec. 3. That for a violation of the provisions of any Penalties for
of the preceding sections the offender shall, in addition to violation
being required to have same repaired to the satisfaction of
the City Engineer, be fined in any amount not less than
$to.00 nor more than $25.00 for each offense.
Sec. q. That all ordinances and parts thereof in con-
flict herewith are, to the extent of such confliction, hereby
repealed and this ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and approval.

An Ordinance Reguiating the Precedence of Public Con.
tracts Over Streets, Alleys and Sidewalks in the City of Pa-
ducah, With Penafties Thereunder.
Whereas, in the construction or re -construction of
streets, alleys and side-w:.lks it may occur that the construe -
tion or re -construction of buildings or other work by private
parties may conflict as to right-of-way over the same by rea-.
son of the letting of contracts at or near the same date,
'therefore,
Be it ordained by the Commod Council of the City of
Paducah, Ky.:
Section t. _ That when the City of Paducah shall have pub- hu lic work
