Steam Pipes public streets and alleys of the City of Paducah and pre-. r i scribing penalties therefor, Be it ordained by the members of the Common -Council of the City of Paducah: Section 1. Provided that any such express wagon may be allowed to stand when not being used on that portion of Court street be- tween First and Third streets and on Jefferson street between rst and 2nd streets which will be known and designated as a public vehicle stand where all owners or drivers of such vehicles shall be required to occupy a position in the, ' territory and locality as defined herein: Provided, further, that nothing in this section shall be Itsy load i so consirned as to prtvent the standing of any express and unload wagons for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freighe of any kind, or transacting legitimate business of express• . wagons 'driver thereto. An ordinance to prevent the maintenahce of steam pipes upon or near pavements. 1 X08 REVISED ORDINANCES OF PADUCAH. -Steam Pipes Drainage Pipes. -Be it ordained by the members of the Common Coun- cil of the City of Paducah: steam Rknulnr Sec. I. It shall be unlawful for any steam pipe to be Prohibited so Joe.ared that it will permit steam to escape across any improved sidewalk or pavement within the limits of the City of Paducah, or to permit condensed steam or water from any such pipe to be allowed to drip of How upon or in any •, way across any such improved pavement or sidewalk. Penalties 'Sec. 2. Any person violaring section r, of this ordi- nance, shall be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $20.00 for each offense. Sec. 3. An ordinance governing the laying of drainage pipes tin- der improved sidewalks. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Pa- ducah, Ky.: Section r. That hereafter in the construction of side- walks in the city of Paducah, the contractor or contractors shall relay, free of cost, all drainage pipe encountered in ex- cavating and grading Aor such side valk. Sec. 2. That in relaying such drain pipes the contract- or or contractors shall lay them at such grade as will be suit- ed to the depth of the new or improved gutter %across or ung der the new sidewalk regardless of the grade of such pipe or pipes through the private property; Heaving the connec- tion therewith to be made by the owner or user of the outlet so provided.
