He shall al so be required to perform such and all of the duties that are imposed upon and required of the city Engineer by reason of an ordinance entitled an an ordinance regulating the sanitary connection with the system of sewerage within the City of Pa- ducah, and defining the rules to govern plumbing thereunder, and he shall be. -required to assume all the re$ponsibilites and be subject to the same penalties thereunder .defined and referred to as a part of the duties of the City Engineer. He shall also be required to perform under the directions of the city Engineer any other duties in connection with the sewer work which may be ordered by the Mayor of the City of. Paducah. See. 2. That all�or{inance.s and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provis ons of this ordinance are hereby re- pealed and this. ordinance shall take effect from its passage and approval. An Ordinance Relating to the Sewerage of Any Natural Drain and Prescribing Penalty for Obstruction of the Same. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Paducah: Section t. Sewerage—Storm Water. sewer to be used and laid, connected with said drain, as may be directed by the said Engineer. Grafixedetobs The Engineer shall give and fix the grade of any such sewerage or draining and shall superintend all work to be done thereunder. All such drains or piping used therewith How built shall be constructed and secured with double strength vitri- fied clay pipe, or hard burned brick, laid in cement mortar. Obstructing drains Sec. 2. Any person or persons obstructing or filling any forbidden of the natural drains within the city limits of the City of Pa- ducah, or in any manner interferring with the natural flow of the neater in said drains shall be fined not less than $5o.oc, nor more than $Ioo.00 for each offense. Penalty Sec. 3. Any violation of this section shall subject the offender to a fine of not less than $5o.00 nor more than $too.00 for each offense. Sec. q. An Ordinance Regulating the Connections With Storm Water Sewers in the City of Paducah; Defining What May Be Drained Into Them, With Penalties Thereunder: Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Paducah: Wastewater Section t. That it shall be unlawful for any person Vrehibited or firm to run any waste water from sinks or urinals, or slops, soap -suds or other refuse into the storm -water sewer in the City of Paducah, storm -water sewers being provided only to carry off the rain fall, roof tater and to under drain buildings. w 0
