That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons using,

the market benches or stalls to obstruct the passageway in
front thereof except that the occupants of the center row of
benches, outside of the enclosed portion of the market -house
shall be allowed the use of two and one-half. (21/2) feet of
space on the. west side of the said benches upon which they
may place barrels or boxes or coops containing articles to be
sold on the market, and that -the occupants of all.benches out-
side of the enclosed portion shall hive the right to the use of
the space above their respective benches for the display of
their goods. It shall be the duty of the market master to
keep all passage ways of the market house entirely free from
obstruction except as h^rein providc3•
Penalty
Any person who sha!1 obstruct said market place except
as herein permitted and who shall refuse to remove said ob-
struction at once upon the order of the Market -master so to
do, shall be guilty of a misdemeao.or, and upon conviction
shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $25 for each
offense.
Sec. 31. All ordit tnces and parts of ordinances iii
conflict with this ora .ance are h�ruby repealed. This ord-
nance shall take effect from and after its passage and ap-
proval.

dling Produce in Paducah Brought to the City Upon Steam-
boats Without a License
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Paducah:

Section z. That it shall not be lawful for the captain. or
owners of any sreamb�at or other person connected with
said steamboat engage in the business of buying and to bring
upon such boat into the City of Paducah with the intention
of selling and actually selling or peddling in Paducah any
produce of any kind without first obtaining the same char-
acter of license so to do that wholesale dealers in Paducah in
the same commodities are now required to obtain by ordi-
nance.
Penalties

Sec. 2. That any person violating this ordinance shall
upon conviction be fine] in any sum not less than $5.0o nor
more than $25.00 for each 'offense, and this ordinance shall
rake effect from its passage and approval.
