An ordinance requiring gas companies to place on each supply pipe outside of building, a valve by which gas can be cut off, and fixing the time in which change must be made. Be it ordained by the General 'Council of the City of r Paducah: Section 1. That every company furnishing gas to con- sumers, shall near the curb line in front of each building J where there is a conneetion'from the gas main to the build'• ing place a valve with the necessary 'boxing with cover, in such manner that the gas to each building may be shut off at any time. Sec. 2. Every gas company shall within a period of sir months . from the passage of this ordinance install the abov! fixtures. Sec. 3. The city is not liable for any part of such cost See. q. Five days after the passage and approval of this ordinance the mayor shall serve upon .the gas company notice to comply with this ordinance. Sec. 5. Every campany failing to comply with this ordinance shall pay a fine -of not less than $g, nor more than $25 for each offense and every days that the change has not been made shall constitute a separate offense.
