People's Ind: Teleph. Franchise. Regulating telephone poles and wires.
In witness whereof the Mayor of said city of Padu-
cah, as such officia:,, and on behalf of the city, has here-
unto subscribed his name and affixed hereto the coTporate
seal of said city, all of which is attested by the Counecil
Clerk, this the 7th day of 'March, 1902.

Regulating Telephone Wires.
An ordinance regulating the manner of stringing wires
-on. poles by telephone companies in the city of Paducah,
Kentucky:
Be it ordained by the Mayor and members of the Com-
mon Council of the city of Paducah, Ky,
Section i. That hereafter -it shall be unlawful for any
telephone company now operating a telephone sytsem
in the city of Paducah, or any company that may hereafter
operate any telephone system insaid city of Paducah, to place
more than an wires on any pole, or sets of poles, forming a
line of telphone wires,without confining said wires in a ca-
ble and anry telephone company violating this ordinance by
placing more than 20 wires on any one pole, not confined,
in a cable, shall, upon conviction in the Police Court of the
city of Paducah be fined in any sum not to exceed $50 dor
each offense, and each day said wires shall remain , on
said poles more than 20 in number not confined in a cable,
shalt be a separate and distinct offense.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take: effect from and after
its passage and approval.
