4. That section g of said ordinance be and the same is
hereby amended by strikirng out the word "six' and insert-
ing the word "five," so a: to read, "The bonds shall bear -
five per cent interest per annum, instead of six per cent in-
terest per annum."
5. That section 1o. be and the same is hereby amended
by adding the name of Nashville, Tenn.. to the names of the
cities in said section named.
6. This ordinance -hall take effect and be in force from
its passage.

An ordinance to • protect 'the property and water of the
Paducah Water Supply` Company from damage, imposition
and fraud.
_
Be it ordained by the council of rhe' city of Paducah, _
1. Whoever, having -license or permit from, or agree-
ment with the Paducah Water Supply Company for use of
water from the works of said company, %hall use or
'
allow to be used for other purposes than those specified in
the license or permit or agreemen 'with said water,Eompany,
or shall knowingly perm►' any person not authorized. by
said company to take or use water from any hydrant or
Connection -on, the, premises or under control of such, per-
son, or permit the water to run -therefrom without being
- us;M, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on" conviction
` thereof• shall be fined not less than five nor'more than fifty
dollars.

der his authority,• use or take -duster from any part -of the

water into or from any pipe,wherever situated, orniake ariy
alteration or extension of or in any street service, or hose
pipe or street main, or,deposit dirt, filth, leaves or other veg-
etable or animal substance, in or about the filter crib,stand-

pipe, pumping well, or on the grounds of said company or _
shall loiter upon, swim from, fish off, or commit any nui-

of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined not less than Ave or more than fifty dollars.
But nothing herein shall be construed as 'interfering with '

lations of this ordinance which may 'come to their knowl-

certain whether any fire hydrant which may be opened is used
by proper authority.

4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in • conflict
he. ewith are hereby repealed.
5. This ordinance shall take effect from its. passage and
publication.

ages, impositions and fraud
Be it ordained by the council of the city of Padutah.
I. Whoever, having a license or permit from or agree-
ment with the Paducah Water Company .or its assigns for
the use of water from the works of said company, shall use

or allow to be used for other purposes than those specified

Amendment of Water Company Franchise.
An. ordinance perm;tting the Paducah Water Company
to place at the terminus of :ts suciion pipe a Falcon patent 7 '
rotary strainer.
Be it ordained by the council of the city of Paducah.
That the Paducah Fater Conipany be and it is hereby
permitted to use a Falcon patent rotary strainer at the end
of its suction pipe in she giver instead of a crib, as was '
originally received by the city , of Paducah, through which
it isto furnish filtered Ohio river water to the city of Padu-
cah. And this ordinance shall take effect from its passage
and upon the written acceptance of this ordinance by the r ,
waver company, to be filed with the clerk within ten days.
