HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 26, Page 73, July 11, 1967Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah!!E11, 1967 A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky was held on the 11th day of July, 1967, at 7:30 P.M., C.D.S.T., at the regular meeting place of said Board in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall in Paducah, Kentucky. The meeting was presided over by Mayor Thomas W. Wilson, who called the meeting to orde and upon the roll being called there were present the Mayor and the following Commissio ers: Thomas W. Wilson, Mayor, William F. Paxton, William R. Johnston, William L. Kressenberg and Henry Puryear. There were absent: None. The City Clerk, Sarah Thurman was also present. I Mayor Wilson offered motiom, seconded by Commissioner Johnston. that the reading of the Minutes for June 27, 1967 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared) by the City Clerk be approved as written. Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that. f id the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and W. H. Yancy & Sons Asphalt Paving Company be received and filed, and that the performance bond required by said contract, executed by said Company as Principal and The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York as surety be received, approved and filed. Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Allen Rhodes, Inc. for i sale to the City of three (3) Ford Dump Trucks and one (1) Ford Truck Cab and Chassis, I and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, i Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (54. t Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the Senior Treasurer be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to publish in the Paducai Sun Democrat the condensed form of the audit report of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the year ended December 31, 1966, which was prepared by Cotton and Allen, Cert :fie Public Accountants, heretofore filed on March 14, 1967. Said motion having been reduced to writing and read in full to the Board of Commissioners, the Mayor called for discussion and there being none, he put the question to a vote. Upon the roll being called and the vote being taken on the motion, the result was as follows: Yeas for the Motion Nays against the Motion Thomas W. Wilson, Mayor None William F. Paxton William R. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that an ordi nance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MUNICIPAL CODE CORPORATION OF TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CODIFYING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE PAYMENT THEREFOR", be adopted.
