Fire At a Regular Meeting of the Roard of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 9, 1967, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissione Johnston, K:ressenberr•, Paxton, Furvear and Mayor Wilson (5) Mayor Wilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that the reading of the Minutes for May 2, 1967 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Johnston, KressenLerg, Paxton, Furvear and Mayor Wilson (5). / Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, th /on recommendation of the City Manarer the following personnel changes he made: 1. Thomas Brumlo:•i, engineer in the Fire Department, he promoted to captain in said department, effective Mav 16, 1967. R. Jessie Dowell, fireman, be promoted to Engineer in the Fire Department, effective May 16, 196". 3. Cletus Quelette be employed as Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, effective May 16, 1967, provided by such time he furnished, at his expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram. 4. Rex E. Morrow be employed as Director of Fiscal Affairs, effective June 12, 1967, at a salary of $1,000.00 per month. 5. Wayne Kilmark be employed as Planning Director, effective August 1, 1967, at a salary of 1.800.00 per month. 6. Dianna McMurtrv, temporary clerk in the Finance Office, be employed as clerk -typist in the Finance Office, at a salary of $245.00 per month, retroactive to May 1,1967. C. Quelette App-Cand. Patty Sargent, temporary clerk in the Finance office, be employed as clerk -typist in the Finance Office, at a salary of .$245.00 per month, retroactive to May 1, 1967. Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New Yorly to Leslie Monroe Faith, Jr. and Paul Demvan, d/b/a Paducah Marine and the City of Paducah, for a period of one year from May 21, 19(7, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Kressenberr offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the report of the Police Department for the month of April, 1967, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Kressenberr offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that the executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Masseur Tractor and Implement Company, for sale to the City of a new Ford all purpose Tractor for use i the Parks Fa Recreation Department, he received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the claim of Paducah Power System in the amount of $27.85 resulting from a police cruiser, driven by Officer Fred Doughty, colliding with a utility pole at 28th & Jackson Streets on April L, 19(6, be allowed, and that the Acting City Treasurer pay said claim after securing a full and complete release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission- ers Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Stilson (5). / Commissioner Kressenberr offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that a resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF STEIN BROS. & BOYCE TO ACT AS FISCAL AGENTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY IN CONNECTION WITH THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF PADUCAH PARKING FACILITIES REVENUE BONDS", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5)• Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED; 'AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREedITH', 47HICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON AUGUST 5, 1952 AND AMENDED ON DECEMBER 13, 196611, be adopted. Adopte on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5).
