Coryell L ISe11 grave Rushing Add , Hamock Funer 1 Home At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commisgioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on July 8, 1969, Mayor Pro Tem McNutt presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3), Mayor Cherry and Commissioner Lambert being absent. Mayor Pro Tem McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the reading of the Minutes for June 24, 1969, be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the claim of Clara Weitlauf in the amount of $202.44 for damages to her motor vehicle resulting from a city vehicle driven by Wesley Darnell striking her car near her home at 703 Woodland Drive, on June 26, 1969, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same after first obtaining a complete release from her and her husband, Jack Weitlaud. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear as follows: I move that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Lyda Wade of a parcel of ground 10 x 10 feet, being part of Lot 296, Section 19 of Oak Grove Cemetery, for the sum of $200.00. I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery graves. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Paducah Brick and Supply Company, Inc. for sale to the City of Manhole Castings and Steps be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem McNutt, as follows: I move that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Glynn H. Coryell of the south one-half of Lot 16 and the southeast quarter - of Lot 16 in Block 3 of the Mausoleum Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, for the sum of $1,050.00. I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission- ers Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah of the northeast corner of Lot No. 318 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery to Hamock Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of No 337 1969 Funeral Home, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). Contract & Borl Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Reed Crushed Sto Company executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Reed Crushed Stone Company, Inc. be received and filed, and that the performance bond required by said contract, executed by said Company as principal and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland as surety, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). File contract wit, Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Emulsified Asphalt/ Company executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Emulsified Asphalt I Company for sale to the City of approximately 44,000 gallons of asphalt, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and i Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3). i Settle claim I Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Donald Watson claim of Donald Watson and Sue Watson against the City of Paducah in the amount of $37.02 for damages to their 1964 Ford Station Wagon caused by a city refuse truck striking the vehicle near 29th and Cornell Streets on April 16, 1969, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same after first obtaining a complete and final release for any and all claims from both parties. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the City Plumbing & Heating j Certificate of Insurance issued by The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company to Jesse Sparks & James House d/b/a City Plumbing & Heating, for a period of one year from July 28, 1969, be received, approved and filed. The following persons be employed as temporary laborers in the Street refused i Division of the Public Works Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour: Henry Lee Gordon Danny Crawford, retroactive to June 24, 1969 Dale Badgett Robert Jones, retroactive to July 1, 1969. Resignation 3. Tax Exonera Mayor Pro Tem McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that tions 3495 thry 3785 exonerations prepared and delivered by the City Treasurer, being numbers 3495 through 3785, inclusive, be received and filed, and that the amount of same totaling $6,000.34 be exonerated on the tax bills shown and designated by said exonerations.
