Approve appoir J.L.Munal, Jr. Housing Commis Place under Civi Service r Freddie Bundren, T.E.Forrester v James Ligon, Jr At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 P.M. on June 10, 1969, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry,(5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 2:00 P.M. on June 10, 1969, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the resignation of Mrs. Elizabeth D. Hemmer as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission be received, filed and accepted with regret and that said resignatic be effective as of this date. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry made the following appointment: Mrs. Elizabeth D. Hemmer having resigned as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, appoint James L. Munal, Jr. as a member of said Commission to fill the unexpired term, so that said Commission shall be composed of the following members: C. C. McDowell whose term expires July 22, 1969 Robert C. Massie whose term expires Juny 22, 1970 James L. Munal, Jr. whose term expires July 22, 1971 Ray H. Mullen, Jr. whose term expires July 22, 1972 Robert C. Cherry, Mayor and Ex -officio member Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Robert C. Cherry appointing James L. Munal, Jr. as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, to fill the unexpired term of Mrs. Elizabeth D. Hemmer. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the following personnel changes be made: 1. That Freddie Bundren, Jr. a mechanic helper in the Street Division of the Public Works Department be put under civil service, effective June 16, 1969 2. That Thomas E. Forrester, a laborer in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, be put under civil service effective June 16, 1969 3. That James Ligon, Jr. a mechanic helper in the Refise Division of the Publi Works Department, be put under civil service effective June 16, 1969. Bid Tabulation Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the & letter Oaklawn Code letter of Edward T. Hannan & Associates, Inc. to the Mayor and Commissioners, dated Enforcement iMay 29, 1969, regarding bid tabulations for site improvement work in the Oaklawn Code Enforcement Area, together with the attached copy of bid tabulations, be received and filed. Donald Montgomery, an Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, Cemetery has satisfactorily completed the 60 day training period as such Applicant -Candidate as provided by ordinance, he is hereby appointed Ray Hack V a firemen in the Fire Department, at a salary of $445.00 per month, Refuse retroactive to June 1, 1969. Janice Kolb Switchboard 2. Winston Hughes be employed as seasonal laborer in the Cemetery Department, retroactive to June 9, 1969, at a salary of $2.00 per hour. Harry Wright reclassified 3. Ray Hack be employed as temporary laborer in the Refuse Division of the Laborer Public Works Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to June 2, 1969. Tommy Robert Refuse 4. Janice Kay Kolb be employed as Switchboard Operator, at a salary of Temp Laborer: Street Div. J.D.Pace H.R.Reynolds C.H.Isaacs Jas K Vinson Elroy Rogers $275.00 per month, effective June 24, 1969. 5. Harry Wright, equipment operator in the Street Division of the Public Works Department be reclassified as laborer in said Department, effective ✓� June 16, 1969, at a salary of $2.05 per hour. 6. Tommy Roberts be employed as temporary laborer in the Refuse Division of the Public Works Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to June 9, 1969. 7. I move that the following persons be employed as temporary laborers in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, retroactive to June 4, 1969: J. D. That Alton Horn be promoted to the position of captain in the police John Ellis department to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Captain Robert Shelbourne, patrolman said promotion to be effective June 16, 1969. 3.
