File contr Can -Tex on Sewer Pipe Settle Leonard Settleclaim Joe Wallace Request bid Lawn Tracto Accept bid Paducah Bri, & supply Culvert Pip, At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 P.M. on February 20, 1969, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 2:00 P.M. on February 20, 1969, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that Donald Montgomery be employed as Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, effective April 1, 1969, provided by such time he furnishes, at his expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). t Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the I/ executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Can -Tex Industries for sale to the City of sewer pipe and accessories, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Ppryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the s claim of Leonard Simons for damages caused to his building at 10th & Burnett Streets by a City refuse truck striking said building, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay the sum of $25.00 to Leonard Simons after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt and Puryear (3), Mayor Cherry voted "No". i� Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the claim of Joe Wallace for damages to his outboard boat motor in the sum of $154.29, caused by a refuse truck striking it on December 27, 1968, at the 19th Hole Drive-in, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same after first obtaining a complete and final release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt,& Puryear .(3), Mayor Cherry voted "No". �. Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that a Resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE LAWN TRACTOR WITH EQUIPMENT, FOR USE IN THE CEMETERY DEPARTMENT", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH BRICK AND SUPPLY COMPANY, INC. TO FURNISH THE CITY WITH CULVERT PIPE & ACCESSORIES TO BE USED IN CONNECTION WITH SEWER AND DRAINAGE CONSTRUCTION WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). 287 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah February 20, 1969 ' Sell lot to Eugene E & Mary C Wooten Amend Section 6.1 of Manual of Procedure Police Dept. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF EUGENE E. & MARY C. WOOTEN TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF-PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT 219 JACKSON STREET THEREIN, FOR THE SUM OF $225.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.1 OF THE MANUAL OF PROCEDURE OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). On motion the meeting adjourned. 7 ADOPTED .7,F- 1969 APPROVED Mayor City Clerk
