At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 P.M. on January 14, 1969, Mayor Protem
McNutt presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor Protem McNutt (4), Mayor Cherry being
absent.
Mayor Protem McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 2:00 P.M. on January L4,
1969, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor Protem McNutt (4).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to
Loren Jones Excavating Company, Inc. and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of
one year from January 1, 1969, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call 0£
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Havery, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor Protem McNutt (4).
Commissioner Lambert offered the following motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryi
Upon the recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel
'changes be made:
1. The resignation of Earl Starling, laborer in the Refuse Division, be accepted,
effective January 15, 1969.
2. The following persons be employed as temporary laborers in the Refuse Division of
the Public Works Department, effective January 3, 1969, at a salary of $2.00
per hour:
Ionie Bryart
Kenneth Burns
Georg D. Bryant
Albert Wailliams
Frierson Lone
James Scott
Robert Ben Johnson
Norman Blair
James Blair, Jr.
3. The following temporary laborers in the Refuse Division of the Public Works
Department be terminated, effective January 9, 1969:
James Scott
James Blair, Jr.
Robert Ben Johnson
4. Larry Owen, temporary laborer in the Street Division of the Public Works Depart-
ment, be terminated, retroactive to November 14, 1968
5. Patricia Ann Jones be employed as temporary clerk to sell auto license in the
Finance office, at a salary of $250.00 per month, effective February 1, 1969.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor
Proten McNutt (4).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Sunray DX Oil Company
for sale to the City of its requirements of petroleum products through December 31,
1969, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Harvey, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor Protem McNutt (4).

Mayor Protem McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to
Ed Downs & Son, Inc. and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year fr
January 1, 1969, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, Puryear and Mayor Protem McNutt (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
