Board of Commissioners City oFPed.-h March7 1967 At a Repular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 7, 1967, Mayor '.Nilson presided. and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (4). Commissioner Kressenberg being absent. J Mayor Milson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for February 28, 1961 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (4). Resipnation Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear as follows: Earle T. Shoup Assistant ✓ On the recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel Corp Counsel changes be made: Employ Samuel Boaz 1. The resignation of Earle Shoup, Assistant Corporation Counsel, be received, i filed and accepted, effective March 7, 1967. Milton M. Livingston, Jr. 2. Samuel Boaz, Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court) be transferred to the position of Assistant Corporation Counsel, effective March B, 1967. 3. Milton M. Livingston, Jr. be employed as Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court), effective March 8, 1967. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4). Sell grave in Commissioner Purvear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the Rushing Add. Sledd Funeral Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Sledd Funeral Home Home of Grave No. D in Lot No. 269, Block 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Anthony Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that a IJ Johnston Archi- tect on New Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF G. ANTHONY JOHNSTON Central Fire Station AND ASSOCIATES OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY TO PREPARE PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CENTRAL. FIRE STATION FOR SAID CITY; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SUCH EMPLOYMENT", be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its i final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4)• Tax Levy Ord. :j Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that Franchise an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE LEVY AND RATE OF TAXATION ON ALL PROPERTY OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANIES IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SUBJECT TO TAXATION FOR i J MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1966, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID li TAXES THEREUNDER DEFINED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (4). Execute contract Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that a Ambulance Service ✓ Resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE I CITY OF PADUCAH AND LYNNE SHELBOURNE AND HOWARD S. LEWIS, PARTNERS DOING BUSINESS AS ANGLES i' OF MERCY AMBULANCE SERVICE, FOR EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION ( � THEREFOR", he introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF CLOTHING ITEMS FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZIN THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAPS", be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, / Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4). Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AA7ENDING SECTIONS 3 AND 4 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLASSIFYING AND LICENSING OF VEHICLES PLYING THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORDINANCE', WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 30, 1937, AND AMENDED ON FEBRUARY 22, 1966 AND RECORDED IN ORDINANCE BOOK 15, PAGE 833", be adopted.
