At an adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.M. on November 30,
1967, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to
their names: Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor
Wilson (5).
Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg
as follows: I move that Nix Allbritten, Forrest G. Horton and Robert Utterback
be appointed to serve as members of the Board of Equalization of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, for the year 1967; that the members of said Board, after being fir
duly sworn to faithfully discharge the duties of their office, be directed to meet
at the City Hall in Paducah, Kentucky, on the 4th day of December, 1967; to elect fro
themselves a chairman and a clerk; to notify the City Auditor that they are ready to
receive the assessment books and to then proceed with the equalization of assessments
of all real and personal property within the City subject to taxation in accordance
with the provisions of law; and the members of said Board are to receive for their
services the amount of compensation fixed by ordinance. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson
(5).
Commissioner Kressenberg offered the following motion, which was seconded
by Commissioner Johnston: Upon the recommendation of the City Manager, I move that
the following personnel changes be made:
✓ 1. Pauline Slankard, temporary clerk in the Finance Office,
be terminated, effective December 1, 1967.
2. Mary Stuart Morris be employed as a temporary clerk in the
Finance Office, at a salary of $225.00 per month, effective
December 1, 1967 or as soon thereafter as State auto licenses
go on sale.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton,
Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
