Inc Concentrated Code Enforce ment, etc. Application for Grant At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commissioners Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.M. on October 3, 1967, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Mayor Wilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 4:30 P.M. on October 3, 1967, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). jCommissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that the telegram from John Blackburn to Mayor Thomas W. Wilson, submitting his resignation as Police Court Judge, and a copy of the telegram from Mayor Wilson to John Blackburn, accepting said resignation be received, approved, ratified and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). - / Mayor Wilson made the following appointment: ✓ WHEREAS, John B. Blackburn has submitted his resignation to me from the office of Police Judge of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and WHEREAS, such resignation having been accepted by me, causing a vacancy in said office, I NOW THEREFORE, appoint Tyler Bourne as Judge of the Police Court of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, effective immediately upon his taking the oath as required by law, and to serve until his successor is duly elected and qualifies. This the 3rd day of October, 1967. (Signed) Thomas W. Wilson Mayor Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that a copy of the appointment by Mayor Wilson of Tyler Bourne as Judge of the Police Court of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received, approved, ratified and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that / the letter of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company recommending acceptance of the t � bid of George Ryan Company, Inc. in the amount of $765,009.40 for construction of Comtract No. 2 - Relief Sewers, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). / Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that Resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR A CONCENTRATED CODE ENFORCEMENT AND PUBLIC AND NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT GRANT FOR THREE-FOURTHS OF THE COST OF UNDERTAKING AND CARRYING OUT AN IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM", be adopted. Contract Relief Sewers Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GEORGE RYAN COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $765,009.40 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONTRACT No. 2 - RELIEF it SEWERS, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION", be introduced and remain i on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). i On motion the meeting adjourned.
