HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 85, November 1, 19638 Proceedings of B atd_af--Cnmmissioner _ _--_.-- City of Paducah Nnvemhesl,__,1963_ At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 P.M. on November 1, 1963, Mayor Pro Tem Gholson presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4), Mayor Cherry being absent (1) 4441 Mayor Pro Tem Gholson offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 5:00 P.M. on November 1, 1963, be received and filed. Adop on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson W. Water connection!', / Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the petition of James Edward Wurth and Schneidman Rd James Edward Orth his wife, Olean Barbara Wurth, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the existing 3 inch privately owned water pipe line located on Schneidman Road, known as the Schneidman Water Line No. 1, for the purpose of furnishing domestic water service to one residence only on property they own fronting 50 feet on Schneidman Road in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the permission petitioned for therein be granted, subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Cholson (4). T. Wilkinson Construction Company, Paducah, Kentucky, in the amount of 7114,148.00,1 be received and filed. File copy of Deed Commissioner Fendley offered motion that a copy of a deed executed on October 31, to City -Franklin School ✓ 1963, by Board of Education of Paducah Independent School District, conveying to the Ci t3 of Paducah, Kentucky, the property known as Franklin School in said City, be received and filed, and further move that the original of said deed be transmitted to the County Court Clerk for recording. Roper for a period of one year from November 29, 1963, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (k). File Audit Mayor Gholson offered motion that the Audit Report of Paducah Power System, which Report Paducah Power System was prepared by Morris A. Lee, Certified Public Accountant, for the year ended June 30, Accept Bid Vasseur Far- / Tractor for,/ Floodwall ' 1963, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4). Commissioner Fendley offered motionihat an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF VASSEUR TRACTOR & IMPLEMENT COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1963 TRACTOR FOR USE BY THE FLOODWALL DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, r Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4). WILKINSON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO FRANKLIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDING IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO BE FINANCED BY ( THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF PADUCAH SCHOOL BUILDING REVENUE BONDS; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION ij OF A CONTRACT AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAME", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SCHOOL BUILDING REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1963, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING A NEW SCHOOL BUILDING IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE OF SAID SCHOOL BUILDING AND APPURTENANT PROPERTIES TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, SO AS TO PRODUCE REVENUES TO PAY SAID BCNDS", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
