At a Rerular Meetinr of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on August 13, 1963,
Pavor Pro Tem Gholson presided in the absence of Mavor Cherry and upon call of the Roll
the rollowinp answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and
Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4), Mayor Cherry being absent (1).
Mayor Pro Tem Gholson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for July
23, 1963 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley,
Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
/ Commissioner Hornsbv offered motion that the petition of Boyd D. Jones and
his wife, Thelma Jones, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the existing
3 inch privately owned water pipe line located on Schneidman Road, for the purpose of
furnishing water to one residence only at 4102 Schneidman Road, in McCracken County,
Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be
received and filed, and that the permission petitioned for therein be granted, subject
to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that a copy of a motion adopted by the
Paducah-1'.cCracken County Planning Commission on August 7, 1963, recommending the closing
of certain streets and alleys in the new Tyler Park Industrial Area, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and
Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that this Board approve the sale by the
.d City of Paducah to Mrs. Hazel Whitfield of the northwest corner of Lot No. 396 in Block
Yo. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be
authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery rrave. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Cornissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
