HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 454, October 11, 1966Na 454 Proceedingsof Poard o£Commissioners City of Paducah Cctoher 11, 1966 I The Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, met in a Regular Meeting at Paducah, Kentuckv, in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall at 7:30 o'clock F.M., on the 11th day of October, 1966, the place, hour, and date duly established for the holding of such meeting. I The Mavor called the meetin- to order and on roll call the following answered present: Commissioner William Robert Johnston, Commissioner William L. Kressenberp, Commissioner William F. Paxton, Commissioner Henry F'uryear and Mayor Thomas W. Wilson and the following were absent: None. The Mayor declared a quorum present. Mayor Wilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that the reading of the Minutes for October 4, 1966 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetinr prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberp, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Mrs. Dallam Hart Mayor Wilson made the following appointment: Appointed on Planninp Com. Subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, I, Thomas W. Wilson, Mayor, hereby appoint Mrs. Dallam Hart as a member of the Paducah Planning Commission for a term ending August 31, 1970, so that said Board as now constituted shall be composed of the following members: i Robert W. Levin for a term expiring August 31, 1967 i Wilbur M. Lee for a term expiring August 31, 1968 Robert P. VanNess for a term expiring August 31, 1969 J. K. Koster for a term expiring August 31, 1970 Mrs. Dallam Hart for a term expiring August 31, 1970. Approve Appoint.- Commissioner Kressenberr offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, mert Mrs. Dallam Hart-Planninp that the action of Thomas W. Wilson, Mayor, appointing Mrs. Dallam Hart as a member of Commission the Paducah Planninp Commission, for a term ending August 31, 1970, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberr,, Parton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (5). ; Marion. Adopted on.call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenbertr, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Investigate !, contracting • refuse collet tion. service'. City pay 101, Blue Cross Blue Shield Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston that - the City Manager be, and he is hereby, instructed to investigate the economic feasibilit of contracting for city-wide refuse collection services rather ,than. operatine the present city owned system. Adopted on call of.the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberr, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton as follows: On the recommendation of the City hamper, I move that beeinning November 1, 1966 the i City pay an amount equal to.50;' of the cost of employees Blue Cross and Blue Shield ' Premiums, subiect to a maximum payment by the City of $7.50 per month per employee, il and authorizing the City Manager to take all steps necessary to effect such payment. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenber, i i1 Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (�). Execute gram - The following Resolution was introduced by Commissioner Paxton: "RESOLUTION l Arreement f i Sewer Projeet AUTHCRIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT". Said Resolution was then read in full and HUD I discussed and considered. Commissioner Paxton then moved the adoption of the Resolution; as introduced and read. Commissioner Puryear seconded the motion, and, on roll call, the following Noted "Aye", Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberr, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson, and the following voted "Nay": None. ii The Mayor thereupon declared the motion carried and the Resolution adopted as intro„ used and road.
