HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 451, October 4, 1966No. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners _ _ City of Paducah October i:, 1966 At a Regular h'eeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on October 4, 1966, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner Johnston, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (4), Commissioner Kressenberg being absent. Mayor :Nilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston, that the readin of the Minutes for September 27, 1966, he waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk he approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Ye Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4). Liabilitv Inst Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton that the Dan Littleton( & Littleton, Certificate of Insurance issued by Fireman's Fund Insurance Company to Dan Littleton a Inc. Littleton, Inc. for a period of one year from June 12, 1966, be received, approved and j filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4). Water mains Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Mayor Wilson as follows: Hydrants newly annexed! It appears from a letter dated September 30, 1966, filed by the Commissioners of Water area Works, that they recommend the inclusion of the following water mains and hydrants, located in various streets in the newly annexed area, in the fire protection schedule: Size On From . Yf U -3e i G r' Water Msins & Hvdrants Niwly annexed area authorized to add mains and hydrants as stated in the fire protection system of the City; I further move that the adoption of this motion be considered an agreement on the part ; i of t'r:e Citv of Faducah to,pay the fire hydrant and main rental, as provided in the franchise, on the water mains and fire hydrants referred to in the letter of the Commissioners or Water Works, said rentals to begin from the 13th day of September, 19Fi, the day of arnexaticn of this area into the City of Paducah. Lot in Oak Grove,,.,' Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the to L.B & Hayden Mason Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to L. B. Mason and Hayden Mason of the northwest corner of Lot No. 19 in Section No. 4 of the Mausoleum Addition j to Oak Grove Cemetery for the sum of $100.00. I further move that the Citv Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery property. Aller.-Audiill Accept hid laducah La & Clearers Uniforms Refuse Div City of Paducah_ __ October 4 __l966 Corrmissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Purvear, that a Resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE EXTENSIONS, CONTRACT D-1966", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (4). Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that an -ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF COTTON AND ALLEN, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ALL CITY OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 1966 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT TO THEM OF THE SUM OF 0,000.06" be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners .Johnston, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PADUCAH LAUNDRY & CLEANERS, FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH UNIFORMS FOR THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT", be adopted.
