City of Paducah September 1 1966 At a Regular Meetinp of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on September 13_, 1966, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Johnston, Kressenbers, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Mayor Wilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, that the readine of the Minutes for September 6, 1966 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenbers, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg, as follows: On the recommendation of the City Manager, I move that the following personnel changes be made: 1. David N. Sweatt be employed as a patrolman in the Police Department, effective September 16, 1966, provided by such time he furnishes, at his expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram. 2. Leslie John Walker, Jr, be employed as Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, effective September 16, 1966, provided by such time he furnishes, at his expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram. 3. The following temporary laborers in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, be terminated effective September 15, 1966: Martin L. Overby Dexter Martin Billy J. Farmer 4. The following temporary employees in the Parks & Recreation Department be terminated, effective September 15, 1966: Robert Alan Ruoff Joe Torian Michael Lee Chance Challie Ward Mary Hockstetler June B. Commissioner Purvear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton that the W.T.R'ilkinson j/-' Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to i W. T. Wilkinson and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from Septemher 14, 1966, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberr, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (5). Lease property Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that a Broadway 17-19 from Kiwanis resolution entitled "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A Club LEASE BY AND BETWEEN THE DOWNTOWN PADUCAH KIWANIS CLUB AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY ON BROADWAY FOR RECREATIONAL USE", be ad6pted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenbers, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (5). Transfer funds / Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner KressenberF, that to Library Ed i an ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY TREASURER TO TRANSFER FROM THE CITY OF PADUCAH PUBLIC WORKS CUMULATIBE RESERVE FUND ACCOUNT III CITIZENS RANK AND TRUST COMPANY TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF PADUCAH AREA PUBLIC LIBRARY THE SUM OF $68,759.48 FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANOTHER BUILDING FOR LIBRARY PURPOSES", he introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for FuYlic inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
