At a Called Meetinf- of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 P.M. on A".ay 28, 1963, T":ayor Cherry presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley,
Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 5:00 P.M. on May 28, 1963, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Karnes offered motion that the petition signed by James Harned and
others requesting a street liPht at the intersection of Cooley and Yeiser Streets, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson,
Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the following bids for the construction
of a new city hall building, be received and filed.

Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and
Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Norma Jean Brown of the Southwest corner of Lot No. 398
in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grpve Cemetery, and that the City Clerk
be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery crave. Adopted on cal
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that a Resolution pertaining to application
for obtaining Federal financial assistance for floodwall purposes be adopted. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and r•:ayor
Cherry (5).
