HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 422, July 26, 1966No. 422 Proceedings of_ Board of Commissioners city of Paducah_ July 26, 1966 j At a Regular Meetinv of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambe of the City Fall, Faducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on July 26, 1966, Mavor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner: Johnston, Kressenterg, Paxton, Puryear and Biayor Wilson (5). .1•+avor Wilson offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberr•, that the readirp of the Minutes for July 12th and 18th, 1966 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, flommissioners Johnston, Kressenberp, Paxton, Puryear and N:avor Wilson Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenherp., that David Leon ' on the recommendation of the City Manager the following_ personnel changes he made: Bernstein - Parks 7. David Leon Bernstein be employed as lifeguard in the Parks and Recreation Marion Thomasson ✓ App=Cand. Fire Dept Department, retroactive to July 16, 1966, at a salary of $1.00 per hour in Class Terminate2. Marion Thomasson be employed as Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department, Odus Ray Smith effective August 1, 1966, provided by such time he furnished, at his expense, a Rodney Adams satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardiogram. Employ F.erbert Prown >/ 3. The employment of Odus Ray Smith, and James Kenneth Martin, temporary laborers Refuse Divisionin the Street Division, be terminated effective July 16, 1966. Eugene Forester 4. The employment of Rodney Adams, temporary laborer in the Refuse Division, be St. Division terminated, effective July 16, 1966. Dexter Martin 5 Herbert Brown be employed as temporary laborer in the Refuse Division, Street Division effective August ji 1966. 6. Eupene•Forester he employed as temporary laborer in the Street Division, effective August 1, 1966. 7. Dexter Martin he employed as temporary laborer in the Street: Division, effective August 1, 19b. Liahilitv Ini, Commissioner Paxton offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that the Loyd Coins Certificate of Insurance issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to Loyd also Bond Coins from October 25, 1965 to October 25, 1966, together with Bond in the amount of $1,000 dated June 13, 1966, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the i Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilsor. (5). Settle claim Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the USF prr •J.E.Fonville claim of United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company in the amount of $70.74 for re- imbursement of that amount paid by it to settle the claim of J. E. Fonville for damages ji Ijto his motor vehicle by a fire truck of the City on July F, 1966, at or near Liberty '+ Yarket, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer pay said claim to said Company after securing a full and complete release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Settle clair�f Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the U.S.F ?: r.iff H.A.Boeckmanj claim of United States Fidelity Pc Guaranty Company in the amount of $35.00 for reiml.ursement of that amount paid by it to settle the claim of Herman A. Boeckmann for damares to his car port by a refuse truck, at 601 North Valley Road, on June 7, 1966, he allowed, and that the City Treasurer pay said claim to said Company after securing a f::ll and complate release.
