Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the petition of Harold R. Broyles and wife, Rose W. Broyles, for permission to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the existing 2 -inch privately owned water pipe line located on Broyles Avenue for the purpose of furnishirr water to one residence only upon Lots Nos. 9 and 10 in Block No. 1, of the Broyles Addition, fronting on Broyles Avenue in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the permission petitioned for therein be granted, subject to the terms and conditions in said petition.,Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Cholson, Hornsby, s and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the petition signed by J. D. Conyer and others requesting the City to surface the 20 foot alley between Clay Street and Harrison Street from 30th Street to 31st Street with red bank p_ravel, be received and g filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and F Payor Cherry (4). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the petition signed by Mr. & Mrs. Leo ho: :. Fields and others requesting two (2) street lights on North 26th Street between Park Avenue and Lindsey Street, be received and filed. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the following bids on the City's require- ment of liquid asphalt for the year 1963 be received and filed: Kentucky Asphalt Sales Company Delta Refining Company Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Karnes offered motion that the Bond issued by The Fidelity and Casual Company of New York, in the amount of $2,500.00 coverinr Midwest Dairy Corporation, a Division. of The Southland Corporation, dated April 30, 1963, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (4). i Commissioner Karnes offered the following motion: Park Avenue Golf Range, Inc., is the owner of property located alone the North side of Park Avenue East of N 32nd Street, and said owner desires that extension of the existing water main be made so as to provi water service to property referred to above. It appears from the endorsement by the Commissioners of :'later :forks that the appli- cant has complied with all rules and regulations of said Paducah ',-later Works, as approvec by the Hoard of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. I therefore move that the appli- cation of the Park Avenue Golf Range, Inc., be accepted and approved, and that the Commissioners of 'later ;,forks be authorized to execute the agreement for the laying of said extension, and that the Commissioners of ;•later Works be authorized to install al 2 inch water main from 32nd Street alonr Park Avenue in an easterly direction approximate 1,01,0 feet including street intersections. I further move that the adoption of this motion and the nrantingr of the request ccntained in said application be considered as afreement on the part of the City of Paduc to pa;: the fire hydrant and water main rental, as provided in the franchise, on the water, main referred to in the petition and in this motion, said rental to begin when said water rain is laid and water provided. Vav 11., 1963 Mayor Cherry offered the followinrr motion: I move that James flalker be, and he 1 is hereby, employed as a seasonal laborer in the Cemetery Department at a salary of $1.00 -per hous, retroactive to May 1, 1963• Such employr..ent is temporary and no civil service rights or other rights under parr law or ordinance shall be covered by this employment. Lee, a Certified Public Accountant of Paducah, Kentucky, to make the annual audit of the Board's records from July 1, 1962 to -June 30, 1963, be received and filed.
