HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 356, January 25, 1966Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah January 251 1966 356 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambe of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on January 25, 1966, Mayor Wilson I presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Purvear and Mayor Wilson (5). Mayor 'Wilson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for January 11 and 18, 1966 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenbere, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5). Ernest Mitchell Mayor Wilson made the following appointment: It appearing that the term of reappointed Eleo,l Plant Board Ernest Mitchell as a member of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky will expire on February 6, 1966. I now therefore reappoint the said Ernest Mitchell -as a member of said Board for a four (4) year term expiring February 6, 1970, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners. Approve re -appoint Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Paxton, that the ment Ernest Mitchell Elec Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Thomas W. Wilson reappointing Ernest Plant Board Mitchell as a member of the Electric Plant Board for a term ending February 6, 1970. Dyer, Sr. as a member of said Commissioners of Water Works for a term expiring January 12, 1970 and J. P. Mrs. Dorothy Painter be employed as clerk -typist in the Engineering K.A.Edwards Department, at a salary of $210.00 per month for the first six months; and at the expiration of six months $220,00 per month; and at the Adm. Assistant expiration of another six months $230,00 per month; and at the expiration Resignation of another six months $240.00 per month.; effective February 1, 1966. Police Schaeffer.. 2. The resignation of William T. Schaeffer, as a patrolman in the Police Department, be accepted, effective January 18, 1966. 5. The resignation of James W. O'Daniel, as a patrolman in the Police Department, be accepted, effective January 25, 1966. 6. The resignation of Frances Ham, as clerk -typist No. 2 in the Finance Office, be accepted, effective as of January 1, 1966. D. McBride follows: WHEREAS, James D. McBride of Route f/$, Paducah, Kentucky, has made application for permit as a private collector for collecting, transporting and disposing, of refuse �I as provided in Article 6, Section 4-A of the Refuse and Collection Disposal Ordinance lisuch collection to be made from Lourdes Hospital, Lambert's Restaurant and all public school buildings in the Paducah Independent Public School District. itI now, therefore, move that such permit be granted to him for a period of six months from February 25, 1966 to August 25, 1966, upon payment in advance of the sum of $12.00 for said six months period at the rate of $2.00 per month. This permit is permissive only and does not grant any exclusive right nor franchi for the collecting of refuse as provided for herein.
