Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held on April 2, 1963, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Da Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the petition of Katherine M. Humphreys, formerly Katherine M. Fisher, for permission to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the 24 inch water main owned by the Paducah Water Works located on Lone Oak Road, for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only on lots 6 and 7, Block 13, in the L.D. Sanders Arcadia Subdivision, fronting 80 feet on the westerly side of Lone Oak Road in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, be I received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with terms and conditions in said petition. C. Staley & J. E. Staley d/b/a Noble (Staley) II Park Concessions, for a period of one year vrom April 15, 1963, be received, approved and, filed. Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Woodrow Davis be, and he is hereby, promoted to Major li promoted to the position of Major in the Police Department of the City of Paducah at a salary of $420.00 per month, retroactive to April 1, 1963. Overstreet, Executive Director of the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, approving the price of $31,775.00 to be paid by the Citv of Paducah to the Urban Renewal and Community Development Arency of said city for land for a City Hall site, bounded on the north by Washington Street, on the east by 4th Street, on the south by Clark Street and on the west by 5th Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received G and filed. Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that a certified copy of a Resolution adopte on I -larch 25, 1963 by the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, concerning the sale of certain land to the City to be used as a City Hall site, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
