Mayor Wilson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for September B, September 22 and October 2, 196L be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepar d by the City Clerk be-approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissione s Davis, Fendley, Hornsby, Kressenberr and Mayor Wilson (5). John Oehlsch- laerer AIvor Wilson made the following appointment: Subject to the approval of the Boar reappointed %A Electric Plan of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, I hereby reappoint John Oehlschlaere Poard as a member of the Electric Plant Board of said City for a four (4) year term expiring February 6, 1968. No. 169 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah October 13, 1964 .later main Blandville Road Commissioner Fendley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis as follows: It appears that the First Christian Church, owner of property fronting approximately feet on the North side of Blandville Road, and extending from a point 109 feet easterly of the western city limits of the City of Paducah to the westerly property line of Audubon Drive, petitions for the extension of a water main to provide domestic water service and fire protection to property they own. There being an existing 8 inch water main at Kennedy Road and Blandville Road, and extending across Blandville Road and westerly along said Blandville Road, the Paducah 'Rater Works proposes to extend said 8 inch main in an easterly direction to Audubon Drive to provide a better water supply for both domestic service and fire protection. I therefore move that the petition of the aforementioned property owner, as ended by the Commissioners of Slater Works be received and filed, and that the Paducah ;•later Works, through its Board of Commissioners, be authorized to extend the water main as requested, and install fire hydrants as needed. I further move that the adoption of this motion be considered an agreement on the part of the City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and main rental on this main togeth with 256 feet of 8 inch main, extending from a point on Kennedy Road 186 feet south- easterly from Blandville Road to the location of the main requested herein, as provided in the franchise, said rentals to begin when this water main and hydrants have been installed and placed in service. Such employment is temporary and no civil service rights or other rights under any lacy or ordinance shall be covered by this employment.
