At a Called Meeting, of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on February 19, 1963, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the .following answered to their names: Commissioner
Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5)
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held on February 19, 1963, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Dora Bryant of the southeast corner of Lot No. 402 in
Block No. 6 of the Rushing_ Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be
authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Following bids on a refuse truck
be received and filed:
Taylor -Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac
West Kentucky Motor Company, Inc.
King Woodall Motors, Inc.
Twelfth Street Garage, Inc.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and
Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by
The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Kentucky Steel Erectors, Inc. and the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from February 10, 1963, be received
approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley,
Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Marvin Powell of the northwest corner of Lot No. 402 in
Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk
be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5)
Contract Kentucky Commissioner Karnes offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
