HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 25, Page 128, May 12, 1964No 128 Proceedingsof ?Os3LS�4( CoSpcfl�53on2L_ City of Paducah May 12- 1961, i ji At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 12, 1964, Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberr and Mayor Nilson (4), Commissioner Fendley being absent. Mayor Wilson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for April 28, 1964 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberr and Mayor Wilson W. Settle claim Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby that the Lois R. pole/ claim of Lois R. Holt (1118 Monroe), in the sum of $22.00, for damages done to his motor vehicle by a City Park Department truck at the City dump, on May 4, 1964, be allowed: and that the Treasurer pay said claim after securing a full and complete release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberg and Mayor Wilson W. Rushinr Add Will Futrull the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Will Futrull of the Southwest corner of Lot No. 390, in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Commissioner Kressenbere offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that a resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE CITY'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT (EITHER LIQUID OR EMULSIFIED, OR BOTH) FOR THE YEAR 1964 (AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO APPROXIMATELY 150,000 - 200,000 GALLONS) TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberg and Mayor Wilson (4). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner KressenberC, that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN AUXILIARY POLICE FORCE TO PERFORM SPECIAL DUTIES WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenber and Mayor Wilson (4). On motion the meetine adjourned.
