At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners h Id in the Commission Chambc
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.IC. on December 8, 1959, Mayor Jacobs
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Corimissioner:
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and I.ayor Jacobs (4), Commissioner Fairhurst being absent (1).
Payor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for November 24 and
December 1, 1959 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as. prepared by the
City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted. on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner;
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4).

Mayor Jacobs made the following appointment: It appearing that Ray Jacobs, a f(
mer member of the Paducah Golf Commission for a term expiring March 26, 1960 is decease(
I now therefore appoint Harry Bolser as a member of said Commisaidn for a term expiring
March 26, 1960, so that said Commission as now constituted shall be composed of the
following members:
Harry Balser ;chose term expires March 26, 1960
William Reeves whose term expires ?.'.arch 26, 1962, and
Edwin J. Paxton, Sr. whose term expires Parch 26, 1964.

I, Commissioner Hook offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
i action of George G. Jacobs, Mayor, appointing Harry Bolser to serve as a member of the
Paducah Golf Commission for a term ending March 26, 1960. Adopted on call of the Ro'.

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the letter of resignation dated Decemb(

2, 1959 from Edward Lewis, laborer in the Refuse Division of the Public Works Departm..en'
be received, filed and accepted effective December 12, 1959 at 11:00 A.I:. Adopted on

for the month of November, 1959, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll

Commissioner Hook offered motion that the following bid for furnishing laundry
to the Fire Department of the City be received and filed:

the City of Palticah and West Kentucky I:otor Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of
One (1) 1960 hodel Savoy Plymouth 2 door sedan be received and filed. Adopted on ca

Commissioner Fendley offered the following motion: I move that the letter of

Paducah Airport Corporation to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners, dated 'November 20,
1959, enclosing a lease to L. V. I:oyers, d/b/a Ohio Valley Aviation from Paducah Airpor
Corporation for a period of five (5) years beginning November 8, 1959, be received and
piled.
I further move that the Payor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to
execute such lease contract on behalf of the City of Paducah; the same having been
executed by L. V. I:oyers, d/b/a Ohio Valley Aviation, Paducah Air^ort Corporation by
E. J. Paxton, Jr. President and attested Ly Christine Alliston, Secretary, and by
Roy Stewart, Judge of PcCracken County, Kentucky. Adopted on call of t;ie Roll, Yeas

Apportionment
Ordinance for 195, Commissioner Fendley offered the following motion: I move that as ordinance
entitled: "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE APPORTION1ZNT OF THE PU3LIC FUNDS OF THE CITY CF
-0UCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1959 AND APPROPRIATING THE DUBLIC REVENUE :d'1D
INCOME OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SUCH PURPOSES", be introduced and remain on file
for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4).
On motion the"meeting adjourned.
