Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for September 8, 195 be waived and thqt the Diinutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5). Billy Joe Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that the letter of resignation dated �''/illiams9fireman resignation i September 16, 1959 from Billy Joe Williams, fireman in the Fire Department of the City of Paducah be received, filed and accepted effective September 22, 1959. Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the report on the City Primary Election held on September 19, 1959, be received and filed. Commissioner Gholson offered the following motion: I move that the following bids for the sale to the City of one four wheel drive pick-up truck for use in the Floodwall Department be received and filed: Harris Motors Taylor -Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac, Inc. King ;•Woodall Motors, Inc. :gest Kentucky Motor Company, Dnc. I further move that theremorandum from Gene G. Ruoff, Superintendent, Flood Control recommending the bid of Taylor -Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac, Inc, be received and filed. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the certificate of insurance executed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company to Cleveland 'Urecking Company of Cincinnati, Ohio be received and filed, and approved. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that John Robert Bundy be appointed as Rodmai in the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah, said employment to be under Civil Service and at the salary provided by ordinance. Dossett be employed as a fireman in the fire department of the City of Paducah at the beginning salary of :'270.00 per month, effective October 1, 1959, provided that by such time he furnishes the City ;tanager, at his own expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardigram. Settle Claim I Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the claim of IQartha Tinsley in the sum Martha Tinsley of Eight Dollars and Twenty Cents (J$.20) for damage done to a bicycle of hers by a refuse truck of the City on July 15, 1959 in the rear of 1627 Jefferson Street be alloyed and the City Treasurer is hereby directed and authorized to pay said amount to her after securing a full and complete release. Transfer :x$000 Commissioner Hook offered motion that the sum of :1.$000.00 be alloyed and granted t� to Planning & Zoning Commissions the Paducah Planning and Zoning Commission for the purpose of bringing up to date the 'City Comprehensive Plan including Land Use Plan, Thoroughfare Plan, Community Facilities Plan, Public Improvement Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, and for the further purpose of obtaining Federal contribution toward total cost under the Federal Housing Act, and that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to issue a check of the City to such Commission in said amount and charge same to Account No. $000.
