HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 24, Page 393, June 12, 19620 N. 393 Proceedings of Rard_of__Commissiuners City of Paducah .Tune 12 1962 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on June 12, 1962, Mayor Pro Tem Gholson presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson, Commissioner Karnes and Mayor Cherry being absent (2) Mayor Pro Tem Gholson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for May 22 and 29, 1962 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk i be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (3). Water connection j Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the petition of Troy Colson and his wife, Eden Drive Troy Colson Marie Colson, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the existing 2 inch Water connection y Eden Drive Charles E.Osborne Jim Sinquefield employed -Parks Mrs. P. H. Center employed -Parks privately owned water pipe line located on Eden Drive for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only upon Lot No. 7 in Block 2 of Eden Place and fronting on Eden Drive in McCracken County, KentucJy, and outside the Corporate Limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Commissioner Hornsby offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of Hubert Grimmer, Superintendent of Parks, I move that Mrs. P. H. Center be temporarily employed as Cashier for Noble Park Pool, at a salary of $140.00 per month, retroactive to June $, 1962. Isaac Reid vI Commissioner Hornsby offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of Hubert employed Kolb Park, Grimmer, Park Superintendent, I move that Isaac Reid be employed as Caretaker of Kolb Park, retroactive to June 1, 1962, at a salary of $100.00 per month. Such employment is temporary and no civil service rights or other rights under any law or ordinance shall be covered by this employment. Brooks be temporarily employed as a laborer in the Street Division of the Public.Works Department, effective June 12, 1962, at a salary of $1.321 per hour.
