Notice of Called Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Meeting Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on May 29, 1962, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Employ Richard Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Richard L. Throgmorton be employed as a L. Throgmorton Recreation Recreation Supervisor in the Recreation Department at a salaty of $220.00 per month, effective June 11, 1962. Said employment being temporary and not under civil service. Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor _berry (5). Employ Challie Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Miss Challie Marie Ward be employed as a Marie Ward Recreation Recreation Supervisor in the Recreation Department at a salary of $175.00 per month, effective June 11, 1962. Said employment being temporary and not under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Employ Kenneth I Commissioner Gholson offered motion that Kenneth Crawford be employed as a Crawford Recreation Recreation Leader in the Recreation Department at a salary of $25.00 per week, effective May 30, 1962. Said employment being temporary and not under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry File Deed from ✓ Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the deed of conveyance from Paducah Paducah Associa- tion of Commerce Association of Commerce, Inc. conveying certain property adjacent to Brooks Stadium adjacent to Brooks Stadium property, which has been recorded in Deed Book 434, page 469 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). ICRR Lease Wash. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, Street to Plunkett Street I authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement with Illinois Central Railroad Company cove Employ Carol Wadeking Sec Finance Dept Reappoint Jim Lyne on Plann & Zoning 0 5l. a roadway right-of-way from Washington Street across the railroad property to Plunkett Street and 13th Street in the City of Paducah, said Agreement covering the period of time I from June 1, 1962 to May 31, 1967. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners j Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that Carol Wadeking be employed as a Secretary Stenographer in the Finance Department at a salary of $230.00 per month, retroactive to May 23, 1962. Such employment being temporary and not under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry t5). Sabel, County Engineer, ex officio member Fred Austin, County Commissioners, ex officio member Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Board of Cor action of Robert C. Cherry, Mayor, reappointing Jim Lyne to serve i Paducah -McCracken County Planning Commission. Adopted on call of Commissioners Fendley, Gholson. Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayoroherry made the following appointments: It appearing that the term of office of James Hermon Brice as a member of the Recreation Advisory Board expired on August 23, 1961, and that theterms of office of Burton C. Robbins and Don Hartline as members of said Board will expire on June 1, 1962, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, reappoint the said Jame Hermon Bruce, Burton C. Robbins and Don Hartline for further terms of three (3) years from said expiration dated. Commissioner "holson offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve ti action of Robert C. Cherry, Mayor, reappointing James Hermon Bruce, Burton C. Robbins and Don Hartline as members of the Recreation Advisory Board, making said board as now constituted as follows: Joe Mitchell whose term expires June 1, 1963 Ed C. Cain whose term expires July 1, 1964 William M. Carson whose term expires July 1, 1964 Carl W. Marquess whose term expires July 1, 1964 James Hermon Bruce whose term expires August 23, 1964 Burton C. Brooks Dunoy Commissioner Karnes offered motion that Brooks Dunoy be employed as a Tennis Employed in y/ Recreation Instructor in the Recreation Department at a salary of $125.00 per month, retroactive to May 16, 1962. Said employment being temporary and not under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry James W. Hicks Commissioner Karnes offered motion that James W. Hicks be employed as a Recreation Employed in Recreation Supervisor in the Recreation Department at a salary of $220.00 per month, effective June 11, 1962. Tilford and the City of Paducah for a period ending September 8, 1962, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). Petition Street, Mayor Cherry offered motion that the petition requesting street lights at Miller lights Puller &i - Ficklin, f Street & Ficklin; Lincoln Boulevard & Miller Street and Miller Street and Roosevelt Lincoln Blvd Roosevelt Blvd Boulevard, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5). i Accept bid W.H.I� Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE Yancy resurface' tennis courts AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH W. H. YANCY FOR THE RESURFACING OF FOUR (4) TENNIS COURTS IN NOBLE PARK, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least ione (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Apportionment V Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE Ordinance for 1962 FIXING THE APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1962 AND APPROPRIATING THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND INCOME OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR NSUCH PURPOSES", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
