Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for November 2$ be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). yj 19ayor Cherry made the following appointment: Subject to the approval of th (/Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, I hereby reappoint Henry Kolb as a mem of the Civil Service Commission of said City for a term expiring December 9, 1964, so that said board as now constituted shall be composed of the folloiring members: Leslie Feast whose term will expire December 9, 1962 Kelly Crayne whose term trill expire December 9, 1963 Henry Kolb, Sr., whose term will expire December 9, 1964 Commissioner Hook offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Robert C. Cherry, Mayor, reappointing Henry Kolb, Sr. as a member of the Civil Service Commission for a term expiring on December 9, 1964. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: I move that the petition of The Hendron Lions Club, Inca,: for permission to make a one inch connection to the privately owned water pipe line owned by Hendron Community Water Association, so as to furnish water to a building constructed upon a tract of land located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Broyles Avenue and the Old Mayfield Road in McCracken County, Kentuck and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and condition in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Members Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hoc ,and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Davis offered motion that the letter from Mahor Embry of the Owensboro Police Department expressing appreciation to the Mayor and Commissioners for tt splendid cooperation shown during the recent conference of the Fraternal Order of Police, be received and filed. Commissioner Davis offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of Ray Kayse, Director of Public Works, I move that Robert Dossett, a Truck Driver in the Street Division of the City of Paducah, be advanced to the position of Sewer Maintenance Man, effective December 16, 1961, such employment being under Civil Service. Stubble Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the resignation of Robert Stubblefielc field resign ,Park Board as a member of the Board of Park Commissioners, effective December 5, 1961, be received, 1 accepted and filed. Pugh, an applicant Pugh - fireman , for employment as a fireman in the Fire Department of the City of Paducah, having furnish c at his own expense, a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardigram, dated November 29, 1961, I move that said Gerald W. Pugh be employed I as such fireman at the beginning salary of ;)250.00 per month effective December 1, 1961. Oba D. Fields Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the resignation of Oba D. Fields as a resignation Appeal Board member of the Appeals Board for the City of Paducah, dated December 5, 1961, be received, i accepted and filed. Liability Insurance Commissioner Hook offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Bundy Funeral Home', Aetna Casualty and Surety Company to the City of Paducah, covering work done by V. i•I. Dlundy d/b/a Mundy Funeral Home, for a period of three years from November 22, 1961, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Employ Edna Mae Commissioner Hook offered motion that Edna Mae Wyatt be employed as temporary license lyatt Temporary Finance clerk in the City Treasurer's Office, effective January 2, 1962, at a salary of 'j190.00 per month; such employment being only temporary and not covered by any Civil Service rights or privileges. Staley for the operation of food, drink and refreshment stands in Hoble,Park; at the moble Park Swimming Pool and the Khoury League Park, be received and filed. McKenzie, 2711 Springdale Police Department Circle, expressing his appreciation to the Police Department for their efficient and prompt action in recovering his automobile that was stolen on November 24, 1961, be received and filed.
