Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah- November 3 1961
At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 12:00 Noon on November 3, 1961, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Fendley, Hook and Mayor Cherry (3) Commissioner Davis was absent at the time the meeting
was called to order, but arrived later and Commissioner Gholson was absent.
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
HMeeting to be held at 12:00 Noon on November 3, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hook and Mayor Cherry (3).
Employ Mary Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Mary Elizabeth Carneal be employed as a

Temp clerk temporary clerk in the Assessor's Office retroactive to November 1, 1961, at a salary of
Assessor's off''e
$220.00 per month. Such appointment being only temporary and not under civil service.

Police report�,;{� Commissioner Hook offered motion that the report of the Police Department for
Oct. 1961
i, the month of October, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Liability Ins. j Commissioner Hook offered motion tliat the Certificate of Insurance issued by The
Littleton Plb tl
& Heating Repair Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to LaVerne Littleton, d/b/a Littleton Plumbing
Service
& Heating Repair Service and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year iron
November 1, 1961, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Hook and Mayor Cherry (3).
Commissioner Davis arrived at this time.
Liability Ins. Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The
Walker Boat
Yard. Inc. I Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Walker Boat Yard, Inc. and the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from October 15, 1961, be received, approved
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hook and
Mayor Cherry (4).
Liability Ins, / Mayor Cherry offered motion that the liability insurance policy issued by Allstate
Harry H. Holt `
Insurance Company to Harry H. Holt for a period of one year from October 13, 1961, be
received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,

Commissioner Davis offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
AMENDING THE SECOND LITERARY PARAGRAPH OF THE PREAMBLE OF A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY ON OCTOBER 17, 1961, ENTITLED
?RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, APPROVING
THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR PROJECT NO. KY. R-151,
AMENDING SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION AND ADDING SECTION 5-A THERETO", be adopted.

Commissioner Hook offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH

WITH ITS REQUIREMENTS OF REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS
LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE TO BE USED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JANUARY 1, 1962 TO JUNE 30, 1962", be adopted. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley,'Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
